It is unimaginable that the Indian team will surrender helplessly to Australia at home. The Indians won the first match by showing their power. India won the match by 5 wickets in Mumbai. But in the second match, Australia did not care.
In this match held at Visakhapatnam, Australia first bowled India out for 117 runs and won by a considerable margin of 10 wickets.
Aussies played only 11 overs to chase down 117 runs scored by Indians. The two Aussie openers Travis Head and Michel Marsh played in T20 style and took Australia to a storming victory.
Travis Head’s 51 off 30 balls and Mitchell Marsh’s unbeaten 66 off 36 balls gave Australia to victory.
Anyone looking at the scorecard of the match would say, maybe it was a T20 match. But basically, it was ODI. Australia won the toss and sent India to bat. Rohit Sharma’s team was bowled out for just 117 runs after batting 26 overs in front of the Aussie bowlers.
Virat Kohli top-scored 31 runs, and Akshar Patel remained unbeaten on 29 runs. Aussie pacer Mitchell Starc alone took 5 wickets. Shane Abbott took 3 wickets and Nathan Ellis took 2 wickets.
Australia’s two openers were in a tough position from the start to respond. Travis Head and Michelle Marsh were batting as if they had to catch a flight somewhere and be there in time. That is why Australia reached the target of victory by picking up 11 runs per over in just 11 overs.
