Enamul Haque Vijay has maintained his performance in the Dhaka League despite not securing a place in the national team. This right-handed top-order-cum-wicketkeeper batsman, the top scorer last time with over 1000 runs, scored a century in the first match for Abahani.

 

Vijay pulled the form of the last Premier League this season. Vijay played a great inning of 123 runs from 118 balls against Brothers Union at Sher Bangla Stadium in Mirpur today. Vijay’s century was decorated with 6 sixes and four boundaries.

Also, another opener Naim Sheikh also raised the possibility of a century by batting brilliantly; But he went back to 85 runs. He played that inning with a dozen boundaries and six off 74 balls.

Along with a pair of big innings from these two, Abahani has another pair of effective innings. One of which was played by Afif Hossain Dhrubo (65 from 47 balls), the other by Mosaddek Hossain Saikat (46 from 27 balls). Besides, Zaker Ali Anik also dropped down to number seven and gave a stormy inning of 26 runs off 11 balls.
